Sarah Frances Poston Zynda

Sarah Frances Poston Zynda was born in 1921 in Shelby, North Carolina. She received her Registered Nurse’s Certificate and served in the US Army Nurse Corps in England from 1943-1945. She then moved to Washington, DC and continued her nursing career for several years. She married Alfred Zynda in 1951 and became a lifelong resident of Silver Spring. She is survived by two daughters–Helen and husband Roger Ward, and Louise and husband Alan Grove, as well as five grandchildren–Michelle, Philip, and Valerie Grove, and Rachel and Rebecca Ward. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), on Monday, March 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 24, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., where Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m.Interment Parklawn Memorial Park.
