NATHANIEL MACK

Died peacefully and returned to his heavenly home on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at Oak Manor Health Care Center, 3415 Greencastle Road, Burtonsville, Maryland.  He was a native of Bowman, South Carolina, and one of seven children born to Amelia (Memager) and Lee Mack.  On January 24, 1945, he enlisted in the United States Armed Forces (Navy) WWII and awarded the American Area Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the Victory Medal and was honorably discharged after sixteen months of service.  After the war, he worked as a construction worker until his retirement in 1997.  A widower, he is survived by his brother Charles Mack and sister-in-law Dorothy (Jackson) Mack of Lanham, Maryland; 4 children and 10 grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.  Relatives and friends will be received at the Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, Maryland (Valet Parking) on Wednesday, February 12, from 12 to 1 pm., where a memorial service will follow at 1 pm.   Interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
