LUDMILA SERGEEVNA ZARETSKAYA

Passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at age 76. Ludmila was born in Belgorodskaya oblast, Russia on May 24, 1939 and moved to Tashkent, Uzbekistan in the late 1950s. She married her husband Victor Zaretsky on August 28, 1960, with whom she spent the next 41 years until his passing in 2001. She became a hydroelectric power engineer and received numerous awards and recognition in her field. Ludmila was the most caring and loving mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook, and loved creating beautiful hand-made gifts for her friends and family. Her strong spirit and zest for life supported her in later years when she became afflicted by arthritis, and could no longer work with her hands and had limited mobility. She remained the rock and foundation of her family until her very last moment. She would be missed immensely by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters Olga and Victoria, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The Funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Cathedral on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to American Arthritis Foundation(www.arthritis.org[arthritis.org]).
