Kathleen Marie Winters (Age 59)  
1957-2016

On Thursday, December 22, 2016, of Annandale, VA.  Beloved wife of the late Frank Winters lost her valiant fight against cancer.  She was a cherished sister of Margaret C. (John) Martiny and Thomas E. (Dolores) Callahan, Jr.  Also survived by one niece, three nephews, three great nieces and five great nephews. All will miss her deeply.  She was known as “Aunt Kathy” to so many people related and not related to her.  She was good at making people laugh and smile.  Kathy has touched many lives in so many different ways and all the great memories will never be forgotten.   Relatives and friends may call at  Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, December 27, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm  where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11 am.  Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society www.cancer.org  or one’s local hospice.
