Ceceil “June” Williams, age 76, fell asleep in death, Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Avonlea Assisted Living Facility in Silver Spring, Maryland. Born in Jamaica, West Indies, she immigrated to the United States and resided in Silver Spring for over forty years. June symbolized her dedication to Jehovah by water baptism as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on August 13, 1949 and was a member of the Colesville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was formerly employed by The World Bank. June is predeceased by her father, Lloyd Winchester Williams and step-mother, Constance; mother, Fredricka Christie and step-father, Roy Christie; sisters, Shirley Lee and Dorette Grace Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Mayne; her sister, Ann Bah; five brothers, Roy Christie (Aileen), Karl Christie (Dorothy), Milton Christie (Lorraine), Gregory Christie (Linda), Glen Christie (Moldes); cousins, Ruth and Joyce Murphy; Anthony Williams, Everie, Yvonne, Samuel and Robert Weathers, Rudolph Panton, Jeanette Banton (Raymond), Evelyn Barnes (Valentine), Marcia Arthurs (Charles), and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who will all miss her very much. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 16825 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD. The family will receive guests at the Kingdom Hall immediately following the memorial service.
