Passed away peacefully on January 24, 2019, with her daughters by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Santa Monica, CA on July 2, 1948 to Alice and William Rahn. The family returned to Montgomery County MD, where she later graduated from Springbrook High School in 1966. After graduation, Patricia began what would be a 49 year career with Montgomery County Public Schools. Her last 20 years were spent at her beloved Paint Branch High School, where she was a much-loved secretary, and after retirement, a Special Education Substitute. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Weaver in 2014, and father William Rahn in 2016. She is survived by her mother Alice Rahn, daughter, Amy Sanchez, step-daughter, Dina Weaver, step-grandchildren, Tabitha and Matthew Schrader, brother, Bruce Rahn, sister, Suzanne Rahn, step-mother, Peggy Rahn and many loving relatives. She had a delightful, engaging personality, loved the beach and all of nature’s creatures. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, February 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A private family service will be held February 6. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to Montgomery Hospice, or Save the Bay Foundation.
