Irma G. Thompson (Age 92)

Our beloved mother and angel, Irma G. Thompson, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 4, 2017.   Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Juan E. and Ramona G. Rivera.  In 1974, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband William H. Thompson. She is survived by her five children, Ramon Thompson of Baltimore MD, Eric Thompson of Gaithersburg, MD, Reinaldo Thompson of Laytonsville, MD, Yolanda Mangum of Glenn Dale, MD, and Carlos Thompson of Bowie, MD.  She was an adored grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was a sister Mercedes Peters and brothers Juan E. Rivera and Jorge Rivera.

Family and friends may call at the Ascension Catholic Church at 12700 Lanham Severn Road, Bowie MD 20720 on August 11, 2017 beginning at 10 a.m. for viewing followed by a Catholic Mass of Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. Graveside service and interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1300 Bladensburg Road NE, Washington DC 20002.
