On Wednesday, July 13, 2011 of Boynton Beach, FL. Beloved husband of Tricia McDermott Thompkins; father of Maya Simone Deborah Thompkins; son of Dr. Shirley Thompkins and J. Allen Kimbrough; brother of Jamal and Shaneda Thompkins, Williamshad, Tami, Michael and Lorraine Morris. Also survived by Mark Rogers and Tajo Fischer, who were like his very own. Relatives and friends may call at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, 3600 Brightseat Road, Landover, MD 20785 on Monday, July 25 from 10 to 11 a.m., where service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery, Cheltenham.
