On March 16, 2018, Catherine Tham, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away at the age of 79 years. Catherine will be forever remembered by her husband of 59 years, Nyuk Kee Lai, and their eight children, Shui Chin (Kam), Su Lee (Loung), Soo Hen, Su Fun (Han), Su Kyun (Tuvan), Su Ching (Kevin), Su Yun, and Su Fui (Sammie). Catherine will also be fondly remembered by her sixteen grandchildren, Alex, Amanda, Amy, Anson, Ping, Yun, Mary, Emily, Jameson, Aiden, Allison, Annabel, Mee Na, Helen, Vincent, and Candace; as well as her dear friends. Catherine was always kindhearted, caring, faithful, honest, patient, and understanding to others. She was a caregiver to all her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, studying the Bible, cooking, and talking to her family members and friends. A prayer service and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 23, at 8:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9700 Rosensteel Avenue Silver Spring, MD. Interment will follow in the family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
