KENNETH H. STEWARD (Age 73)

On Friday, June 26, 2015, of Takoma Park, MD. Ken received a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from University of Georgia, then served in the U.S. Army, finishing with a tour in Vietnam as an Engineer Officer. For 11 years he designed recreational parks in Maryland. He was self-employed using his creativity in landscaping, graphic design and his ministries. He was a long-standing member of Hughes United Methodist Church. Beloved son of Barbara H. Steward and the late Ira H. Steward; brother of Karen S. (Tom) Spence and Brenda Steward; uncle of Michelle (Todd) Chaikin, Brian (Marina) Spence, and Melanie (Fred) Joiner; great uncle of Hailey and Kelsey Chaikin, Olivia Spence, and Naomi Joiner. Relatives and friends may call at Hughes United Methodist Church, 10700 Georgia Avenue, Wheaton, MD, Thursday, July 2, from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment private.
