On Tuesday, January 17, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD.  Beloved husband of Barbara Stachowiak; stepfather of Brittney St. Germain and her husband, John Lewis;  father of Robert Stachowiak and his wife, Elizabeth Lener, and Erick Stachowiak and his wife, Melissa Stachowiak; grandfather of Owen Lewis, Ian Lewis, Malcolm Stachowiak and Grant Stachowiak; brother of Christine Barth.  Relatives and friends may call at  Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, Saturday, January 28, 2017, from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m.  Interment private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Civil Liberties Union, www.aclu.org or Doctors Without Borders, www.doctorswithoutborders.org.
