DAVID BYRON SPANGENBERG (Age 79)

On Friday, February 7, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, at his home in Silver Spring, MD. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane, of 58 years; his four children, Susan Writtenberry (Lynn), Nancy Leab (Tony), Scott Spangenberg (Rachel) and Thomas Spangenberg (Amy); 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; with another great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his three brothers, Ronald, James, and Roger Spangenberg. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m.; and on Wednesday, February 12, at Silver Spring Presbyterian Church, 580 University Blvd, East, Silver Spring, MD, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment at Parklawn Memorial Park.
