On Friday, April 13, 2012, of Burtonsville, MD. Wife of the late Arnold Solis; beloved mother of Christopher T. (Mary) Solis and Mark A. Solis; grandmother of Jason, Justin and Kristin Solis; great-grandmother of Noah Solis; sister of Anthony (Julie) and the late Christy Febbo; also survived by her sister-in-law Lois Febbo. Joan retired from the US Department of Labor, where she served as a Human Resources Specialist (Position Classification). Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Altoona, PA.
