MONZEL SMITH (Age 90)

On Tuesday, February 8, 2011, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Virginia “Polly” Smith; father of Phyllis Owen, Priscilla Hechler, Sheila (Carl) Rakes and preceded in death by infant son Kevin Monzel Smith. Brother of Morris Smith of Akron, OH. Preceded in death by his parents Roy Alonzo Smith and Hattie Byrd Cutright Smith, eight brothers and three sisters. Also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, February 13, 2011, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service at Colesville United Methodist Church, 52 Randolph Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904 on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery February 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Colesville United Methodist Church.
