Beloved wife of 59 years to the late James Richard Smith; mother of Susan (Michael) Kowalski, Donna (Donald) Murray, James (Kim) Smith, Mary (David) Sherman, Bernard (Becky) Smith, Joseph Smith, Steven (Christine) Smith, Cecilia (David) Capacchione, and Michael (Allison) Smith: Also survived by 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at St. Bernadette’s Church, 72 University Blvd. East, Silver Spring, MD, Wednesday, October 17, 2012, 10 to 10:30 a.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society , Montgomery County Unit, 801 Roeder Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
