THERESA RIEDMANN SHVODIAN (Age 81)

On Thursday, February 20, 2014, of Bethesda, MD. Beloved wife for 55 years of Robert Shvodian; mother of Mary Shvodian, Bill Shvodian (MaryAnne), Julie Townsend (Marty), Dan Shvodian (Beth) and Amy Smith (Joel); sister of Helen Kosinski (Joe); grandmother of Brett Townsend, Shayne Townsend, Grace Shvodian, Katie Shvodian and Kevin Shvodian. She is also survived by other loving family and friends. Theresa traveled to work in NYC on the Staten Island Ferry for 9 years and bragged that she had more sea time than her Navy and Merchant Marine husband. Theresa and Bob first met at a company softball game. Her interests were in church, bowling, sewing and homemaking. Relatives and friends may call at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 9601 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD, Friday, February 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St. Labre Indian School, 1000 Tongue River Road, Ashland, MT 59003 and or U.S. Olympic Committee, Attn: Development, 1 Olympic Plaza, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
