On Tuesday, October 4, 2011, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late John George Shannon; mother of Daniel Shannon, Leilani Vail, John Shannon, William Shannon and Patricia Wilder; grandmother of Tara Correnti-Vail, Kierstan Renner, Kelly, Lauren and Max Shannon, Scott, Jr., Austin and Kelsey Wilder and the late Liz Vail. Also survived by long-time caretaker, Cathy. Interment Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, December 9 at 10 a.m. (Please assemble at the Administration Building by 9:30 a.m.) Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 268, 11225 Fern Street, PO Box 1752, Wheaton, MD 20915.
