JEAN LUCAS SHAMANSKI

On Thursday, May 20, 2010, of Rockville, MD. She was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, Mt. Carmel, PA and was Payroll Manager with BAE Systems in Rockville, MD prior to her retirement in 2005. Mrs. Shamanski is survived by four children and three grandchildren, Carol Apple (Tom), Fay Shamanski (Mike), Walter Shamanski (Noreen) and Sally Howes also granddaughter, Rene” Foster and grandsons, Jesse and Aaron Apple. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Joan Johnson (Ray) of Vienna, VA, Catherine Darrup (Jim) of Mt. Carmel, PA and Robert Lucas (Christine) of Kulpmont, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick who passed away in 1995 and her parents, Joseph and Thelma Lucas. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, May 24, from 7 to 9 p.m., where service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children”s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, Wheaton Rescue Squad, Wheaton, MD or MC4A Scholarship Fund, Mt. Carmel, PA.
