Alice Hindle Combs Shackelford (Age 85)

Alice Combs Shackelford, formerly of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on August 20, 2016, while she was a resident of Kline Hospice House of Frederick County, MD. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Eugene Frank Combs (43 years) and Robert L. Shackelford (15 years). Survivors include; her son Donald I. Combs (and wife Flo) of Mt. Airy, MD, and grandchildren Christopher Combs (Stormie), Craig Combs (Ali), and Jessica Combs Malatt (Tom), and great grandchildren Shelby Combs and Evelyn Combs, her sisters, Margaret B. Bell of Silver Spring, MD and Mary M. Hines of Chesapeake, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews and stepchildren. Relatives and friends may call at  Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, August 23, from 2 to 4 p.m.; where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
