On Saturday, October 17, 2009, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Joanne Schmit; father of Lynn (George) Schmit, Therese (Bill) Enos, and Steven, Thomas (Ginger), and Matthew (Amy) Schmit; grandfather of Nicholas, Kristin, Nina, Joseph, Anna, Ali, Autumn, and Julian. Also survived by his twin brother, Raymond J. Schmit. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, 12319 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD, on Thursday, October 22, at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
