On Sunday, January 4, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Julia D. Schallmo; father of Joanne M. Scee, Amy E. (Paul) Webb, James E. (Pamela) Schallmo, Jr., Annette M. (Randy) Smith, Laura A. (Robert) Callaway, David C. (Carolyn) Schallmo and Paul K. (Deborah) Schallmo. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is a World War II veteran serving in the US Navy from 1942 to 1946 in the Pacific. He taught at Eastern Junior High School in Silver Spring for 25 years.
