PATRICIA A. SANZARO

Patricia Woodworth Sanzaro died on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at her home in College Heights Estates, MD. She had been bedridden for the last two and a half years. She was born in Washington, DC on January 15, 1926.

She grew up in the Brookland area of DC and attended St. Anthony’s, Notre Dame Academy and Catholic University’s School of Nursing. She was a nurse at Providence Hospital.

Mrs. Sanzaro is survived by her husband, Dr. Frank Sanzaro; her son, Dr. Frank Sanzaro, Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Sanzaro (Tom). Mrs. Sanzaro was predeceased by her son, Dr. Thomas J. Sanzaro and her daughter, Dr. Katherine M. Sanzaro. She is also survived by her sisters, Joan Mullan (Bill) and Geraldine Woodworth; five grandchildren, Karen Sanzaro, Tricia Butler (Biff), Thomas Sanzaro, Jr., Gallia Coles (Michael) and Francis Sanzaro (Christy). Also surviving are five great-grandchildren, Michael, McKinnley and Wesley Coles, Carolina Butler and Amelia Sanzaro.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 7501 Adelphi Road, Hyattsville, MD on Monday, March 26, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, National Capital Chapter, 1800 M Street, NW, Suite 750 South, Washington, DC 20036.
