A lifelong resident of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Richards, Sr. and was predeceased by a twin sister, Helen M. Hutchens and a brother, Harold C. Moubray. She is survived by a son, John W. Samen, Jr. of Lake View, SC; a cherished niece, Cheryl A. Hutchens of Silver Spring, MD; a dear nephew, Ronald T. Hutchens and wife, Sheila of Monrovia, MD; beloved former daughter-in-law, Dawn Samen of Rockville, MD and many beloved step-children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
