ROOSEVERT RENE (Age 75)

 

Jean Roosevert Rene (Roose) age 75 passed away at his home on November 7, 2019, in Takoma Park.

Born July 19, 1944, in La Vallee De Jacmel (Ternier), son of the late Novert Rene and Celita Lacourt. He married Edith Boursiquot in 1971 in La Vallee De Jacmel. He moved to the United States in 1988 to join his family in Maryland. He is survived by his sons Ronald and Eddy, and his daughters Michelle, Celita, Natacha, Nicole, Sonia, and Roseline. Roosevert also survided by 18 grandchildren. Roosevert has extended family not only in the United States but also in Haiti and Canada.

Roosevert was a great farmer in Haiti who took pride in his appearance. He loved hats, riding his horses wherever he went, playing cards and dominos with his friends. Roosevert was known for his confidence and no-nonsense personality but thrived most helping anyone in need.

Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, November 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment private.
