Beloved husband of 66 years to Anna Mancini Peninger ; devoted father of JoAnne Horan and husband Leonard, Sr.; brother of the late Carl Lee Peninger, Jr. and Ruth Bledsoe; adoring grandfather of Bridgette Tobiassen, Leonard J. Horan, Jr., and Heather Garrett; loving great grandfather of L.J., III, Caleb, Wyatt, Greysen Horan, and Brett Tobiassen, Jr. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Curley Bikowski, Toni Mancini, and James Goodger; sisters-in-law, Mary Goodger, and Ina Mancini and many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, June 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church-Fulton, 8300 Old Columbia Road, Fulton, MD, on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
