Of Rockville, MD died suddenly on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Fairland Nursing Home in Silver Spring, MD. Growing up Chip Attended Holy Redeemer School, Kensington, MD, Fork Union Military Academy, Virginia, and Montgomery College, Rockville, MD. In recent years Chip was an owner and operator of Cowboys Restaurant, Rockville, MD. In his earlier years he worked for Sibley Hospital. His passion was football. He played football all through high school and played in a intramural football league with other restaurants in the Rockville area. He was an avid Redskins fan. Rumor has it, that he tried out for the Cincinnati Bengals. Chip was predeceased by his parents, Carlyle Nelson Patterson, Marie B. Patterson and his brother Michael W. Patterson. Surviving is a sister, Mary Christine Ekarius of Brick, NJ, three nieces and two nephews.
