MARGARET JONES PALMER (Age 96)

On Friday, August 23, 2013, of Bethesda, MD, formerly of Savannah, GA. Beloved wife of the late Ambassador Joseph Palmer II; mother of Joseph (Sharon) Palmer, Heather (Jafar) Jafari and Thomas (Joan) Palmer; sister of C. Gordon (Nancy) Jones. Also survived by eight grandchildren, Jamal, Tamsyn, Summer, Jesse, Katya, Josh, Ashley, and Tom, Jr. and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Rock Creek Episcopal Church, Rock Creek Church Rd. & Webster St., NW, Washington, DC, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. Private Interment at Rock Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Children’s Inn at NIH, 7 West Drive, Bethesda, MD 20814.
