ALICE C. NORWOOD (Age 84)

Died peacefully in her sleep on January 30, 2011 at Kensington Park Retirement Community. She is survived by her children; Charles Norwood and his wife Lynn, Carl Norwood and his wife Jan, Karen Thompson and her husband Jeff and daughter Faye Norwood, three brothers; Ed, David and Robert Carwithen and two sisters, Doris Mapes and Mary Fisher. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD on Thursday, February 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Collins on Friday February, 4 at 1 p.m. with interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jubilee Association of Maryland, Inc., 10408 Montgomery Avenue, Kensington, MD 20895.
