ROSCOE RUSSA NIX (Age 90)

On Wednesday, January 4, 2012, of Union City, GA, formerly of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Emma Sue Coble Nix; father of Veretta T. Nix and Susan Nix (Donald) Webster; grandfather of Briana A. Williams, Tristian K. Webster and Marcus L. Boyd; brother of Anita Jackson, Crispus C. (Edna) Nix, Comer (Ann) Nix, and Pettis (Patricia) Nix. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and good friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, January 11 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. (Alpha Phi Alpha Omega Service to be held at 7:30 p.m.) A Funeral Service will be held at Church of the Redeemer, 1423 Girard Street, NE, Washington, DC, 20017 on Thursday, January 12 at 11 a.m., preceded by a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD.
