JAMES D. NAULTY

James D. Naulty Jr. (AKA -Jim to friends and Dad to family) 76, died Monday, September 9th, 2019 at Washington Adventist Hospital- following a long illness. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years Thelma (Curtis) Naulty, his son James D. Naulty III and wife Lourdes K. Naulty, and his grandson James V. Naulty. Born in Philadelphia, PA, son of James D. Naulty and Elizabeth (Freil) Naulty. He was raised in Hyattsville, MD.

Mr. Naulty graduated from Northwestern High School in 1962 and briefly worked at Landsburgh Department store. In 1964, he was drafted into the US Army and served in Vietnam, he was wounded and was Honorably discharged in 1965. After the Army he was an outside sales rep for Auto Equipment company for 35 years, he later worked for StarRad for the remainder of his life.

He had tremendous love for his family, the beach, and sitting outside on his bench on warn summer nights, where he always enjoyed his afternoon coffee. Mr. Naulty was an avid humanitarian who worked tirelessly at his parish St. Camillus Catholic Church on the St. Vincent Depaul Society, helping to feed, cloth, and bring assistance to the community poor.

 A viewing will be held on Monday, September 16th from 10am to 11am, followed by Mass at 11am at St. Andrew the Apostle in 11600 Kemp Mill Rd. Silver Spring, MD 20902.
