ALLEN TILLER MURRAY (Age 92)

On Monday, May 21, 2018, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late June E. Murray; father of Jill Ann Murray, Candace “Candy” Bryant and the late Allen “Coke” Murray; father-in-law of Jeffrey Bryant and Terry M. Murray; grandfather of Blake Gilotti and Darren Murray; great grandfather of Sophie, Lucas, Nolan and Peyton. Allen was a proud WWII veteran. He served in the Army in the Pacific Campaign in Okinawa as a Master Sergeant. He was a postmaster in LaFollette, TN and then moved to Nashville where he started his government career with the Department of Agriculture. In 1962. Allen continued his career in Washington, DC until he retired in 1986. A Memorial Service will be held at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, on Thursday, May 31, at 1 p.m. Interment private.
