KATHRYN CHOY MOY (AGE 92)

On Wednesday, September 26, 2018, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Henry K.L. Moy; mother of Clifford (Claudia) of Rockville, MD, Calvin (Michelle) of Silver Spring, MD, and Colin (Clorinda) of Castro Valley, CA; grandmother of Vincent, Christopher, Cameron and Nathaniel Moy; sister of Mui Chin and the late Christopher Tsoi. After raising her three sons, Kathryn “Kitty” Moy started a new career as a draftsman at a well-known engineering firm in Silver Spring. Following her retirement and the untimely passing of her husband Henry, she stayed active in the community with volunteer work that included assisting staff at the local library; 18-plus years of service with “Meals on Wheels”; and raising money on her own to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She had a special place in her heart for children who were suffering with serious illnesses. Hobbies that held a special passion for her included gardening, sewing, knitting, cooking, and travelling around the world. But her primary focus and contact in life was always her many close friends, family, and especially her grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, on Sunday, October 14, at 10 a.m. Interment private.
