ALTA MARIE MORTON (Age 50)

On Thursday, July 8, 2010, of Mount Rainier, MD. Beloved mother of Alexandra Michele Morton; daughter of Bernard C. and Evelyn J. Morton; sister of Stacie Morton-Carter; aunt of Julian Parks and Karen Parks. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of North Brentwood, 4000 Wallace Road, North Brentwood, MD, 20722 on Thursday, July 22 at 11 a.m. Interment private. A Community Celebration of Alta’s Life will take place at Joe’s Movement Emporium, 3309 Bunker Hill Road, Mount Rainier, MD 20712 on Saturday, July 24 at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Futuristic Youth Corp, PO Box 993, Rockville, MD 20848-0993. ( www.futuristicyouth.org ). A portion of donations will be made as a contribution to the Center for Sickle Cell Disease at Howard University.
