SIMON C. MIRANDA (Age 16)

On Friday, March 30, 2012, of Takoma Park, MD. Beloved son of Kathryn Litherland and Ivan S. Miranda; step-son of Timothy Pagen; brother of Magdalena and Ivana Miranda; grandson of Judith and the late Bennett Litherland and Elena NC:ñez and Carlos Miranda; step-grandson of Frances and Charles Pagen. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. Simon was a student at Montgomery Blair High School; a talented violinist, world traveler, and engaged citizen, he was active in many musical and student service organizations. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, April 5, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at Cultural Arts Center Theatre #1, 7995 Georgia Ave. Silver Spring MD 20910 on Saturday April 7, at 11 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (SMYAL) or to Orchestras of the Americas for Social Inclusion (OASIS).
