On Saturday, December 29, 2018, of Kensington, MD and Melbourne, Australia originally from Celico, Italy. Beloved wife of Tony Mele and the late Frank Serra; loving mother of Michael (Lorna) Serra, Vincent (Nicole) Serra, and David (Carmen) Serra. Stepmother of Maria (Doug) Mennie, Christine (Kristyn) Hart, Peter (Lorelle) Mele, Michael Mele, John Mele, Joe (Catriona) Mele, and Dominic (Tracey) Mele. Grandmother of Gwen (Lance) Bouchel, Shawn Serra, Jessica Serra and Tico (Jenny) Clary. Also survived by four great-grandchildren and 14 step-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, January 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Redeemer Church, 9705 Summit Ave, Kensington, MD, on Wednesday, January 9, at 11 a.m. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
