Craig was born on April 24, 1967 and raised in Bethesda, MD. Craig attended the Concord School for special needs children until it’s closure.  Craig and his friends became the trailblazers for mainstreaming and inclusion where he attended many Montgomery County Public Schools and finished his education at Walter Johnson High School’s Learning for Independence Program with his graduation in June 1988. Craig worked in the food service industry for a few years but found his passion at Rehabilitative Opportunity Inc. (ROI) in Germantown, MD where he worked for over 17 years as a dedicated and loyal team member. Craig made many lasting friendships during his tenure there.  Craig retired from ROI in 2015.  More recently, Craig attended Easter Seals’ Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Adult Day Program in Silver Spring, MD. Craig had a few hobbies and passions.  The University of Maryland’s Wrestling team was his first passion.  He was the team’s #1 fan as he cheered from the bench next to his father, John, the Head Coach.   WWE Professional Wrestling was his second passion and was an adamant fan of Hulk Hogan.  He also loved music, dancing, celebrations, and spending time with family and his lifelong friends.  Craig leaves behind a legacy of people who loved him, most notably, his Woodedge housemates and amazing caregivers from the Jubilee Association of MD. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) on Wednesday, June 14 from 7–9 PM.  Memorial Mass will be held at St. Jane Francis de Chantal Church, 9601 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD on Thursday, June 15 at 11 AM.  Private interment at a later date will be at Arlington National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Craig’s name to Jubilee Association of MD, 10408 Montgomery Avenue, Kensington, MD 20895.
