MARIE ELENA McCARTHY (Age 89)

On Thursday, December 15, 2011 of Rockville, MD, formerly of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late John J. McCarthy; mother of John J., Thomas C., Eleanor M. and Patricia A. McCarthy; mother-in-law of Maureen McCarthy and Carolyn Steiert; grandmother of Thomas C. McCarthy, II; sister of the late Charles Ruggiero and Elena Kissell. Marie had a long, distinguished career as a teacher at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, MD. Relatives and friends may call at Church of the Resurrection, 3315 Greencastle Road, Burtonsville, MD on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 20 at 10 a.m. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
