On Monday, October 25, 2010, of Adelphi, MD. Beloved husband of the late Jean W. Mayhew; father of Jerry Mayhew, Jr. (Kay), Maureen Mayhew, Mary Ellen Miller (Robert), Gail Johnson (Douglas), Patrick Mayhew (Pamela), Theresa d’Epagnier (John), Michael Mayhew (Christina), Elizabeth Steiger (Brian), Christopher Mayhew (Moira) and the late Infant Mayhew and John Mayhew; brother of Ellen Rabbitt and the late Joseph F.X. Mayhew, Kathleen McCoy and Rev. Bernard Mayhew, S.J. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking) on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 7501 Adelphi Road, Hyattsville, MD, on Saturday, October 30 at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
