JOHN E. MALLON (Age 83)

Died on Monday, December 9, 2013 in Ocala, FL. He was born into this life on January 17, 1930 in Washington, DC to the late Thomas and Grace Mallon. Mr. Mallon was a U.S. Navy Veteran as a Sonorman Second Class “S02”. He obtained a National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal (European CLASP). He is survived by his brothers, Thomas A. Mallon and Joseph P. Mallon; his sister, Grace M. Triggs; and six nieces and four nephews. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at St. Bernadette’s Church, 72 University Blvd. East, Silver Spring, MD, on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
