GEORGE WILLIAM KERNS

On Saturday, October 10, 2009, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy E. Kerns; father of Elaine Keith, Ronald (Susan) Kerns and Robert Kerns; grandfather of Karen Tech, Debbie Burruel, Jackie Sigoloff, Sean Keith, Kevin Kerns and Patrick Kerns; great-grandfather of James, Neil, Michael, Joshua, Nathan, Aubrey, Timber, William, Jake and Caroline. Served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from the Bethesda Naval Hospital after over 35 years service. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (valet parking), Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service at Hughes United Methodist Church, 10700 Georgia Avenue, Wheaton, MD, on Thursday, October 15, at 11 a.m. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park.
