On Thursday, August 1, 2013 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Dolores M. Kern; father of Richard, Jr., Robert, Joseph, Constance, John and Eric. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a lifetime civil servant at NSA. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, August 6 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Andrew of The Apostle Church, 11600 Kemp Mill Road, Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
