Charles Borromeo Kenahan (Age 92)

On Monday, April 11, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of 58 years to the late Alecia “Jane” Kenahan; father of Carol (Gary) Rawlings and Dave (Lisa) Kenahan; grandfather of Brandon, Jason, and Travis Rawlings; brother of Camillus and the late Joseph, Andrew, Rosemary and Donald. Chuck was born on January 29, 1924 in Sugar Notch, PA. He was the Valedictorian of his High School class and went on to graduate from Kings College in Wilkes Barre, PA in 1950 with his Bachelor”s Degree in Chemistry. He was a First Class Quartermaster in World War II and served on the Navy Destroyer, USS Brister Destroyer Escort 327. After spending 35 years at the U.S. Bureau of Mines, Chuck retired as the Deputy Director in 1986. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment private.
