Johnson; daughters-in-law Katrina Ulrich, and Peggi Johnson Bell; grandfather of Cecilia Johnson-Ulrich, Zoe Johnson-Ulrich, Lily Johnson-Ulrich, Danielle Johnson, and Andrew M. J. Bostrom; brother of Ruth M. (Ken) Schaefer and the late E. Ann Scott.
