Clarence “Bunny” Roy Jackson

 Clarence Roy Jackson known to all his family and friends as “Bunny” passed peacefully on December 25, 2016 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD at the age of 67 after a short battle with cancer. Clarence was born on March 4, 1949 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, WI. He grew up in Chapleton, Clarendon and came to the United States in the 1980s. He was a dedicated and respected employee of the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC for 28 years. He was also a part-time employee of Holy Cross Hospital for many years. He is survived by his children, relatives, and friends. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd West, Silver Spring, MD 20901. A viewing will begin at 10 AM, service at 11 AM , followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906. All are welcome to a repast thereafter at the Argyle Country Club, 14600 Argyle Club Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20906. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
