On Wednesday, June 2, 2010, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Roberta L. Hunter; father of Joseph D. (Carol F.) Hayes and Richard T. Sweat; grandfather of William Brooke Hayes, Kimberly Erin Sweat, and Michael Richard Sweat, Hunter M. Cote and the late Sean Hunter Hayes; brother of Helen E., Kenneth C., Ethyle L., Whitney I., Estes K., and Forrest J. Canterbury; and Mary E., Paul E., Samuel H., and L. Edward Hunter. Also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
