CAROLINE ROGERS HUMPHREY

Caroline Rogers Humphrey, age 86, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her home. Born in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Elizabeth Claney Rogers. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald Humphrey in 2004. Surviving are her eight children, Therese Humphrey of Ocean Pines, Donna Matthews and her husband John Brown of Luray, VA, Mark Humphrey and his wife Becky of Clarksville, MD, Christopher Humphrey of Wheaton, MD, Joan LaHayne and her husband Russell of Berlin, Mary Kroll and her husband Larry of Damascus, MD, Thomas Humphrey and his wife Christy Storm of Frederick, MD, and Diane Kull and her husband Dane of New Market, VA. She was an adored grandmother to fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, William Rogers and his wife Betty, and sisters Betty LeBuffe, and Dorothy Lane and her husband Joe. Also preceding her in death was a brother James Rogers and sisters Jeanne Fangmeyer and Ann Glover. Mrs. Humphrey also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Friends may call at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin, MD on Sunday August 6, from 2:00 until 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Ocean City, MD on Monday, August 7 at 11 a.m. (Rev. John P. Klevence will officiate). A visitation will also be held at Collins Funeral Home, (Valet Parking) 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD, on Wednesday, August 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. Graveside service and interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, on Thursday, August 10, at 10 a.m. A donation in her memory may be sent to: Coastal Hospice, P.O.
