RAYMOND E. HOOPER, D.D.S.

On Sunday, March 21, 2010, of Silver Spring, MD. He was born in Erie, PA in 1930 where he graduated from Gannon College in 1952. After his service in the Army, he graduated Georgetown Dental School in 1958; then served in the Public Health Service from 1958 to 1964. He retired from his private practice in Rockville in the late 90’s.

Dr. Hooper is the beloved husband of 51 years to Patricia Hooper; devoted father of Laurel DeRosa, Michelle Hooper, Raymond, III, Patrick and Peter Hooper; cherished grandfather of Kristin, Katie, Annie, Tyler, Nicholas, Brianna, Justin, Megan, Rachel, Grace, Hannah and Gabriela; brother of Patricia Connolly; father-in-law of Joseph DeRosa, Bethany, Alicia and Christine Hooper.

Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, March 25, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, Norbeck and Muncaster Mill Roads, Rockville, MD, on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 1 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in the name of Raymond E. Hooper to the “Benedictine Sisters of Baltimore”, Attn; Development Office, 2229 West Joppa Road, Lutherville, MD 21093.
