On Wednesday, May 13, 2009, Evelyn Gertrude Hastings, 91, retired elementary school teacher and professional musician, of Rockville, MD.  Beloved wife of the late John F. Hastings; sister of Roselyn Hiebert and George Peyser; aunt of David Hiebert, Steven Hiebert, Emily Townsend, Douglas Hiebert, Alex Peyser and Leslie Eberhart.  Private inurnment in Arlington National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037.  Arrangements by COLLINS FUNERAL HOME.
