GEORGE HARVEY (age 53)

HM1 George Harvey (Ret. Navy) (E6) passed from this Earth October 8, 2014. He was a Maryland resident and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He is survived by his sister Jennifer Broome, brother John Harvey, nephew Greg Harvey, nephew Justin Harvey, niece Gina Harvey, nephew Daniel Harvey, great-niece Lilly Grace Harvey and great nephew Jaxon. He retired from the United States Navy, 26 years, where he received numerous medals and commendations. What he loved most was riding his motorcycle and helping people. He had a generous heart, a kind spirit and was always there to help. He will be sorely missed.  A Celebration of Life will be held at The Gaithersburg Church of the Nazarene, 8921 Warfield Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20882 on Saturday, October 18th at 3 PM.  Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, 333 1/2 Pennsylvania Av SE Washington, D.C. 2003-1148.
