SAMUEL L. HARTLEY

On Thursday, March 24, 2011 of Onancock, VA and formerly of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of 58 years of the late Wanda A. Hartley; father of Gary W. (Joyce) Hartley and Debra L. (John) Morrison; grandfather of Nathan (Dianne) Hartley, Jennifer (Jason) Clarke, John “Johnny Mo” (Jamie) Morrison, Samuel (Melissa) Morrison and Timothy (Annie) Morrison. Also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Mr. Hartley was a Navy Veteran who received a Bronze Star for his meritorious service during the D-Day Invasion of Europe. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) on Tuesday, March 29 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Church, 10103 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, March 30 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
